Crew 59 of the Caldwells was formed in 2010. Since then the Crew has gotten SCUBA certified, gone camping, bowling, hiking, built a potato cannon, taken a trip to Hershey Park, attended the New Jersey State Police Jamboree, and expanded its membership. This spring we plan on attending Beach Jam at Morey’s Piers in Wildwood and in July we head to New Mexico to Philmont, the Boy Scout Ranch, for 10 days of backpacking. All proceeds benefit Crew 59 activities. 

Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America for young men and women who are 14 years of age OR 13 years of age and have completed the eighth grade and under 21 years of age. Venturing provides positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Venturing provides the skills needed for young adults to make ethical choices, experience a fun program full of adventure and challenges, acquire leadership skills, and to take advantage of opportunities to advance their skills and knowledge in the areas of high adventure, sports, arts, hobbies, religious life, and Sea Scouting.
