We have a date! April 5, 2014

Crop  with the Crew is Venturing Crew 59’s annual fundraiser. Our profit helps pay for our activities throughout the year for our 24 members. 2014 will be the third year Crew 59 has held their crop.  Crop with the crew is a 12 hour crop (9am to 9pm) with snacks and beverages available throughout the day, light breakfast, lunch, dinner, & homemade desserts. Goody bags for all, and prizes to win. The Crew members help carry your stuff in and out of the venue! Crew 59 of the Caldwells was formed in 2010. Since then members of the Crew have gotten SCUBA certified, gone camping, bowling, hiking, built a potato cannon, visited amusement parks, attended the New Jersey State Police Jamboree, the West Point Invitational Camporee, Beach Jam, and Philmont. This summer 8 Venturers represented Crew 59 and Northern New Jersey at the Boy Scout National Jamboree in West Virginia.

Crew 59 of the Caldwells was formed in 2010. This summer 8 Ventureres will represent Crew 59 and Northern New Jersey at the National Jamboree in West Virginia.

Venturing is a youth development program of the Boy Scouts of America. Venturing provides positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Venturing provides the skills needed for young adults to make ethical choices, experience a fun program full of adventure and challenges, acquire leadership skills, and to take advantage of opportunities to advance their skills and knowledge in the areas of high adventure, sports, arts, hobbies, religious life, and Sea Scouting.

The unofficial address for the North Caldwell Fire Department Community Center is 134 Gould Ave, North Caldwell NJ. (There is no number assigned to the building but it is directly across the street from the fire/police department.)

There is street parking, just be mindful of the signs, yellow painted lines and the fact that we are near both the fire trucks and police cars. Additionally, there is a parking lot behind the center…and this is where the benefit of having Venture Crew members help you carry/pull/tote your stuff comes in especially handy!
