There and Back Again

The Crew had a hike today from Hilltop Reservation in North Caldwell to Mills reservation in Cedar Grove. While not the most difficult of Hikes, they did cover almost 11 miles in full packs. Not a bad day.

We mentioned that the next hike would be a bit more difficult.

I am thinking about the State Line Trail and a loop around Surprise Lake.

VOA Rock Climbing Night

Summer of Spuds and Hershey Park

At our last meeting there was quite a great deal accomplished.

First off we elected new Officers. They are:
President: Billy
VP-Program: Marie-Lys
VP-Admin/Comm: Nora
Secretary: Sabrina
Treasurer: Ethan

Congratulations and best of luck to all.

Our next meeting will be Thursday July 7th at Sabrina’s house. At this meeting we will be planning our next event (Hershey Park) and will also be bringing the Spud Gun out. Sabrina has an elevated shooting platform and this should make things interesting. We will be arranging car pools to Sabrina’s house, expect to here from Nora via text message.

Hershey Park: July 15-16

Our next activity will be Hershey Park. We will be leaving on Friday July 15th, camping in the area and then going to the park at night. July 16th we will spend the day at Hershey. As long as there are 10 of us confirmed by July 7th at 2pm we can order discounted tickets. Please email me at [email protected] as soon as you know you can go.

Please check out the website for Hershey Park. The camp site is about 6 miles away. we will be doing “light camping” — drive in, set up, sleep, take down in the morning– cooking will be up to you or we can budget for eating all meals in the park and surrounding area.

Costs will be determined at the meeting, but it should be around $40-45 for camping and admission. We need to set a budget for the food.

August will have a camping trip August 11th -12th. We are planning to include some canoeing in the Culver Gap or Delaware Water Gap area. Details will be set at the next meeting.
