The Crew elected Mackenzie as President, Pauline as Vice President of Administration, Evan as Vice President of Program, John as Secretary and Ashna as Treasurer. Bella was appointed to the newly minted position of Social Media Liason. Matthew C. and Jean-Baptiste were reappointed to their respective positions of quartermaster and webmaster.
One of our very own venturers, Evan, earned the religious award Ner Tamid. Congratulations to him and we wish him the best of luck as he continues to develop his faith!
One of the crew’s favorite service project is the North Caldwell Fire Department Pancake Breakfast. This is a great time to give back to those first responders who put their lives at risk to protect us.
Evan, Matt W., John S., Gabby, Aidan, Jean-Baptiste and Tim accompanied by Mrs. DeFillipo, Mrs. Rogacki and Mr. Brown attended the crew’s second Xtreme Sports Weekend at beautiful Camp Turrell. There our venturers enjoyed rappelling, zip lining, shotgun shooting, archery and many other fun events in a Scout’s favorite weather condition: rain!
Jean-Baptiste, a past president and member of the crew currently serving as VOA President, was honored with the Venturing Leadership Award at the District Awards Dinner.
For the first Order of the Arrow election the Crew voted that Mackenzie Courtright attend the Ordeal to seek entry to this great and honorable brotherhood.
The Crew elected Mackenzie Courtright as President, Ashna Razdan as Vice President of Administration, Pauline Dominguez as Vice President of Program, Isabella Joslyn as Secretary and Evan Brown as Treasurer. Congratulations to all of them!
On June 9th 2018, two members of our crew participated in a Lenape Trail Hike. Although crews, troops, and packs had been called to hike the entire 34 miles in one day (and some courageous souls achieved this), our adventurous representatives were slightly more conservative and only hiked a small portion of the trail.
The hike started, for us, at Yantacaw Park and finished at Applegate Farm with a delicious ice cream. Along the way we enjoyed many delightful parks, and Jean-Baptiste even found a National Geographic Folio at a garage sale on the way. Everyone had a wonderful day of it, and both youths (Tim and Jean-Baptiste) want to thank the adults who accompanied them.
